Our Story
It's been a journey about life redemption and salvation. The stories around the discovery, acquisition, and infrastructure of this 13 acres of raw land is amazing.

God has blessed it from the beginning... the connections, the relationships, and the Grace of his "favor". Glory Ridge is dedicated to our Lord and Savior, YESHUA the Messiah in March of 2019. In conjuction with the non-profit Foundation, the mission is to tell His story, the history, the LOVE, and the Word of the Living God. You feel the peace the minute you enter the property.

Plans are to establish a "Path of Righteousness" and "Victory Trail" for strolling thoughout the property, which will feature seating along the way to rest and enjoy scripture. Ultimately, the goal is to become a smaller certified "Coming of the King" Prayer Garden (See Kerrville, TX) to which has been approved to build.

Relaxed and peaceful....Glory Ridge Retreat is a casual GATHERING place for fellowship and families... by referral or invitation. We welcome those who need prayer, encouragement, or fellowship.
The season typically begins in mid-May and runs through October. Ministry groups, clubs, organizations with approval are welcomed to hold outdoor events here by donation.

Friends of Glory Ridge SERVE, through sharing food, faith, and experiences. We focus on the "family" to include great food, fun, and entertainment. Our 24 ft. outdoor movie screen is an enjoyable experience...and the free ice cream and popcorn is a plus! Bring your folding chairs or blankets, and any other supplies you may need for spending the evening outdoors even after dark. Check the movie schedule page when in-season or contact us directly. But every Sunday noon - 3pm we serve our famous "smash burgers" made from 100% local grass-fed beef from Pure Farms of Sparta, NC...fresh hand-cut fried potatoes, homemade Jalapeno baked beans (not too spicy) and handcrafted milkshakes using icecream brom Brenham, Texas.
We cook and serve at no-charge on certain days of the week or month; and we especially like to host and recognize area law enforcement.

Food costs have increased, so please see the SUPPORT US tab. There is on this site an appreciation page for all those that have and continue to support us. The Foundation welcomes anyone that can share even small amounts of monetary donations, time, labor, or materials to help continue to support the mission. Growing family unity, and offering a safe place to visit and learn is a positive community outreach in an effort to reduce the rates of suicide and drug addiction in the Alleghany area. Life is precious, restoring Hope is key. Kids today cannot fix what they do not know is broken. We really want to focus on the young generation at great risk today. It is the brokenness that robs joy and life. It does not matter the past, but the promise of a new day and a new life that can change everything.

It's all about the LOVE of GOD, family, community and country. Jesus LOVES you, if you don't know Him, He
is ready to meet you....all you have to do is ASK :-)
